Organic Valley was born in 2017 in the lush green hills of Sirsi, Karnataka, nestled in the heart of India's Western Ghats — one of the world's richest biodiversity hotspots.
For years, our founder Rajesh Hegde ran a vanilla processing company that exported premium vanilla to buyers across Europe, England, and beyond. The world loved Indian vanilla — but back home, most people had never tasted the real thing.
That's when Madhura, Rajesh's wife, asked a simple question: "Why not sell real vanilla in India, so our own people can experience it too?"
That question became Organic Valley.
Each step is performed with care, patience, and respect for nature
Each vanilla orchid is delicately hand-pollinated within a narrow window of just a few hours. This ancient technique, passed down through generations, ensures every flower has the chance to bear fruit.
For 9 months, the green vanilla pods develop on the vine under careful watch. Our farmers tend to each plant organically — no chemicals, no shortcuts — just sunlight, rain, and dedication.
When the tips of the pods turn golden, it's time. Each bean is harvested by hand at peak maturity to capture maximum flavor and aroma — a skill that takes years to master.
The harvested beans are blanched in hot water and then sun-dried daily for weeks. This traditional curing process develops the rich, complex flavors and the distinctive dark color of premium vanilla.
Every single bean is inspected, measured, and graded by hand. Only beans that meet our strict Grade-A standards for moisture, length, and vanillin content make it to the next stage.
The graded beans are carefully vacuum-sealed to lock in freshness, aroma, and flavor. From our packing facility, they travel directly to your kitchen — no middlemen, no warehouses.
